The Big Bailout

Lets talk about the bailout. We have a republican party that has run this country for the past eight years. A party that believes that less regulation on big cooperation's is the best thing for our economy. But it seems that less regulation doesn't work. Especially given the present situation that we find ourselves in. The Dow Jones had the biggest drop in points in history. As a result foreign markets are looking at some trouble as well. President Bush the leader of the republican party wants us the American people to bailout all of his good corporate friends. And use taxpayers money to do it. Basically the Bush economy has sucked the economy dry taking money out of the pockets of the American people. Now after sucking us dry he wants for us to bailout the idiots that charge us ridicules interest rates and or suckered some of us into loans that we couldn't pay back. Just doesn't sound right to me. How about you bailout all the Americans that cant afford to keep their homes and put food on the table. Its funny how we can send 10 billion dollars a month to Iraq but we have people that don't have a home to live in here. That's enough money to give all Americans the money they need to save there homes. I don't know what the answer is but it seems like we are in between a rock and a hard place. Because if we don't bailout these idiots at the top the little guys on the bottom could lose their jobs. So what do we do? Teach those morons a lesson or save them? If we don't save them the rich or still going to be rich and poor will remain poor. So no matter what the little guy loses in principle and monetarily.

Mccain kinda feels like pain

I'm sure most of us know who McCain is those who don't must be living under a rock. As I watch this election I wonder why the race is even close. I am actually shocked that McCain even has a chance at winning. Lets push the issues to the side. Both Barack and McCain can push their policies and we can agree or disagree with them and that's fair. That's what the election should be about, the issues. But it seems McCain of late has made this about topics I could careless about. And the idea that the media is attacking Palin is crazy. The media's job is to ask questions because if the media doesn't ask the questions who will.
I don't have open access to just walk right up to any of the candidates and start firing off questions that are important to me. So its through the media that I get my questions answered. So McCain if you don't talk to the media how do I know where you stand??? How do I feel comfortable voting for you when you run from the big bad media??? I thought you were a maverick that reforms that means you straight talk and stand on your own two feet and you don't worry about the media. We as Americans know that some news stations lean more towards one candidate over the other. I am fully aware the media can place a spin on something someone says. But I ask that you don't insult my intelligence give me a chance to discern weather or not the media is spinning what your saying. I'm not a zombie that is mindless and whatever the media says I believe so please give us Americans a chance to hear what you really think. Let's stop playing the political games and using diff rent tactics to pull the wool over our eyes. Oh and if you haven't all ready noticed I notice that your trying to pull the wool over my eyes so news flash it's not working.
At this point I'm more concerned with McCain's character if you don't have it how can I choose you to be my president even if I agree with you on some of your policies. Character and policy have to go hand and hand, you can not have one with out the other. So maybe when we see you debate I'll hear more then just the words reformer and maverick. Let me tell you I'm tired of hearing that your a maverick every time you open your mouth. You have been in Washington for 26 years and now your going to run on a platform that says we have to change Washington? Okay lets think about this you have been in Washington for 26 years that's my present age so are you saying that America should vote for Barack Obama because if we vote you in that means Washington now has a leader that has been in Washington for 26 years so is that really change?

This is my first blog posting so I'm new to this. I know many people blog about things that are important to them. So I guess I will add my two cents to cyber space.

I'm sure most of us are aware that we have an election coming up. This is one of the most exciting elections that I have ever seen. Not that I have seen many this is the third election that I can vote in. I'm excited about Barack Obama being able to even have the chance to be the first African-American president of the United States of America. I think it shows the progression of the country. And it truly shows that we all have the ability to dream and make our dreams come true. Barack win or lose has inspired me in a way I don't think words can truly express. It gives me hope that good things can happen to all that have faith and determination. It lets me know that good things can happen for good people. Because the saying goes nice guys finish last. Well I hope Barack can prove that nice guys do finish first. And I feel like he offers a fresh set of eyes in Washington, the end of the old and the beginning of the new. I have never felt so connected to a political leader in my young life. I feel he speaks to me and speaks for me. I must say it is a great feeling. I have hope because he has hope and he speaks to the hope that lives in my heart. America is the land of opportunity and I'm glad that I live here there is no place like America so I truly feel blessed to be in a place that the sky is the limit. And I don't want to forget Hillary running for president it shows how far we have come. America has had a rich history of sexism and racism and in one year we can see glass ceiling being shattered right in front of our eyes in real time. I hope this gives young woman and young African-American males hope that you can really do whatever you put your mind to. MLK's dream that people should be judged on the content of their character looks like it might come true.

Now I don't want people to think that I am naive to think that just because Barack has accomplished something that no other African-American political leader has; that we as Americans don't have work to do because we do. There is still institutionalized racism and sexism. And I feel like it is are civic duty not to feed into stereo-types of each other. And to be open to the fact that we are all different and we should embrace the differences. The differences are what make life interesting if we were all the same life would be boring. Having differences is what makes us American places of many different people.
